Princess Charlene's Fashion

The Royal Thumbs Up : Monaco Rose Ball 2012

The Bal de La Rose was last night in Monaco with the theme of Swingin' London , And guess what ? some attendees deserve Thumbs up ... and down

Best Disappointment

Princess Charlene

I was hoping for red or blue , but with Charlene it's not likely to happen soon ! I was expecting a strapless and was hoping for a big necklace ( The Infinite Cascade ) for a royal bling , but  was disappointed by the black and gold/cream gown , then was disappointed again with her jewelry-less neck , and was disappointed one more time that she actually didn't look boring , in fact she looked amazing , I like how the gown fits , the 60's themed hair the headband .. everything ! but Char , seriously you need to use your jewelry , you have no idea how a necklace , brooch or bracelet would do to this outfit !!
Although I don't know the designer yet ( I assume it's a costum Akris) it reminded me of the costum H&M gown Michele Williams wore to the BAFTA , this time I really hope it's Akris than H&M!!! please don't tell me it's H&M ... plz !
And I love the way she was relaxed and smiling all the time !!

Best In Princess

Sylvie Tellier
Well , This one reminded me of the Oscar De La Renta frock Cameron Diaz wore to The Academy Awards a couple  of years ago , Naturally I love it ! that's how a princessy look should be done !

Best in Your Own Theme

  Tatyana Dyagileva

It seems that these 2 ladies didn't like the 60's theme and decided to make their own 20's theme ! Anyway i like Tatyana's look more than the unknown guest who arrived with Jean-Christophe Maillot .

Worst in Chanel Couture

Caroline in 2011 fall Couture : ugh , I really don't know where to start , it's just awful !! Caroline , Dear !! not everything Karl tells you to wear should be worn !!

Charlotte in Spring/Summer 2012 Couture : Charlotte , your mother can sometimes pull off Karl's trashy creation , you can NEVER , stay with Giambattista  Valli he's amazing , remember your gown for the wedding ?!

Best Of The Rest

Melanie-Antoinette de Massy
Left to right : Luo Zilin , Melanie-Antoinette de Massy , Victoria Silvsted

I'd give it to Luo just for the fur ( I love Fur) but her gown is dated and the fabric looks cheap , I'd also give it to Victoria for the pop of colour , but the gown is so tacky ! you can't go wearing a 10 dollar-dress to the Rose Ball , seriously you can't !!

so Melanie wins , for the gown with beautiful details and amazing accessories

Worst of The Worst

Imelda May

Left to right : Imelda May , Camilla ,Duchess of Castro , A guest with Jean-Claude Mignon

Mark this guys !! for the first time EVER Camilla , the duchess of Castro didn't win the worst dressed for the night !!! this time she came in the second place , after Imelda May , Dear Imelda , Next time you go to the Rose Ball or any other ball , PLEASE wear a floor length dress , enough said !

tell me who deserves a Royal Thumbs up and down ?

  1. I agree! Charlene looked great.... even without the very-needed bling. I thought her hair was fabulous (which is a first for me!).

  2. Agreed on Charlene and Charlotte....both terrible. Caroline was okay....still not sure about that vesty thing.

I thought Camilla was the best dressed to the theme as it was 1960s Swingin' London Rose...

The unknown guest with Jean-Christophe was his wife, Valentine Mailhot.
