Last night, January 23rd the Spanish Royal Family -headed by King Juan Carlos who was joined by his wife, Queen Sofia, his son Crown Prince Felipe and his daughter-in-law Prince Letizia- attended a reception for foreign ambassadors.

For this event which took place at the Royal Palace in Madrid our royal ladies went for glamorous looks, yes when it comes to Spain, Spain’s royal family, and Spain’s financial situation that’s as glamorous as it can get!

Queen Sofia wore a flowing mint blue gown (What’s with mint blue with royals?) with weave details on the waist and the cuffs. The Queen
complimented her outfit with several bracelets and a lovely pearl necklace, Sofia did the best with that low-key, it just can’t be more glamorous without being fussy!

Letizia went for an all red look, wearing a new Felipe Varela gown with lace
inserts and lace appliquès. Letizia’s look is matchy-matchy, but somehow it manages to look not too matchy, if there’s something like
that. Leti kept it minimal when it comes to jewelry wearing just earrings!

What do you think of these look? And do you think we’ll see these ladies in tiaras any soon?
