Palace Releases First Photos of the Twins!

An early Christmas present from the Princely Palace in Monaco!

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene with their twins

The photos show Princess Charlene and Prince Albert hugging Princess Gabriella (in pink) and Prince Jacques (in blue).

The photos were taken yesterday at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre in Monaco where Princess Charlene has given birth to the twins.

Taken by the palace's photographer Frederic Nebinger, the photos are Christmas-themed and show Al and Char very happy and content with the tiny little prince and princess!

The Princely Family of Monaco!

Princess Charlene of Monaco is expected to leave the hospital on time for Christmas, so most probably today or tomorrow. In a recent phone interview, she said she was crazy in love with her newly-born children!

Princess Gabriella of Monaco looking so cute on the arms on her mother!

Just a small fashion note, Princess Charlene wore a cream ruffled blouse with a pair of dark blue jeans and her go-to pearl stud earrings, I'm working on finding an ID for the blouse! Wishing the Prince and Princess of Monaco all the best with their newly-born Prince and Princess!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Monaco Welcomes the Princely Twins!

Great news to wake up to.  The palace has announced that Princess charlene has given birth to Princess Gabriella Thérèse Marie on the 10th of December at 17:04 and Prince Jacques at 17:06.

42 gunshots were fired followed by ship horns.

The princess and the children are doing well.

Though born first, Princess Gabriella is the second in the line to the throne and will receive the title of the countess of Caraldès. Prince Jacques, now the crown prince of Monaco (the palace called him "the crown pronce") will receive the title of Marquis of Baux.

I'll keep this post updated with the latest information.

The time to celebrate has come!

(Excuse the typos, too excited here)

Princess Charlene in Akris for the Monaco National Day

As Prince Albert said, Princess Charlene did not attend the mass at the Cathedral. Unlike what Prince Albert said, Princess Charlene did not attend the medal ceremony at the palace Cour D'honneur. However, Charlene made it to the balcony to greet the people!

For the occasion, The Princess of Monaco wore a black Akris "wool double face" dress.

Charlene paired her dress with a black and shore (grey) wool double-face Cassini 02 cape from the Fall 2014 Akris collection

The Cassini Series is based on images generated by Cassini, a NASA orbiter launched in 1997 on a mission to Saturn.

Char topped off her look with a beret, most probably by Stephen Jones (To be confirmed) and her go-to pearl earrings.

The Princely Couple kissed in front of the crowds and Charlene looked extremely happy and radiant.

This is most probably the final appearance for her before she gives birth to the twins next month and this was just the perfect see-you-in-a-month outfit, me thinks!

Do you love this Akris ensemble as much as I do?

Princess Charlene in Lanvin for the Prince Albert Awards

As the title says, last night (Sunday), Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the annual Prince Albert Awards in Palm Springs, this was the first time for the 7-year-old awards gala to be held in the United States.

Princess Charlene wearing Lanvin

For the occasion, Charlene chose a navy blue loose fit dress with a gathered detail from Lanvin.

The silk satin dress (actually it's 75% viscose!) features a round neck and -very- short sleeves. It's currently on sale for 1.113 on Farfetch, you can but it from HERE.

Somehow this dress is actually designed for non-pregnant women and it's supposed to look like this on them:

I'm not a fan of the dress, but kudos to Charlene for picking a dress that's made for non-pregnant women to make them look pregnant when they're not pregnant while she was pregnant (I really needed to say that :D)!

Princess Charlene in Lanvin

Charlene wore python sandals that I couldn't identify, they're not Stuart Weitzman's Nudist, though. Her Cartier stud diamond earrings completed the look.

Earlier this weekend, on Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Monaco visited the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center.

Princess Charlene in a yellow Akris dress

Charlene wore a custom-made Akris yellow Ombre Boucle Sheath Dress. Yes, that yellow thing is actually knitted on the fabric making it look like it's growing -yellow- grass!

I love the contrasting textures of the dress, but I'm not sure about the cowl neckline... Walter Steiger ballet flats completed the look.

Does Lanvin excite you or are these outfits just below Char's average?

Princess Charlene Wears Dior to the Princess Grace Awards

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert attended the Princess Grace Awards on the 8th of October. The awards gala is usually hosted in New York and this was the first time in three decades for it to go to Los Angeles.

Pregnant Princess Charlene in Dior

With the event hosted by Dior, it only made sense that the princess would opt for a Dior Haute Couture look. The white sleeveless gown features an empire waist that cascades into a flowy, pleated chiffon skirt with a thin belt/sash between the contrasting bust-skimming and bump-flattering parts of the frock.

Huge pic, open in a new tab

Dior has done some Grecian-goddess dresses for Charlene before, but this comes as the most beautiful and classic of them, it has simply booked its place in my favorite looks of Char's and my favorite maternity dresses lists. I keep on thinking that we could easily see the Duchess of Cambridge in a similar dress during her pregnancy, don't you think?

The Princess of Monaco styled her white gown with silver Dior sandals and kept her makeup minimal. For jewelry, she wore her HUGE diamond drop earrings that I haven't been able to identify (yet). She's worn them to the Boxing Bonanza and St. David's Gala earlier this year.

Oh, and in case you haven't heard....

It's now official that Monaco will be celebrating princely twins!

Are you as excited as I am?,, royalista,

Princess Charlene Wears Carolina Herrera to the Annual World Focus on Autism

By now most of you already know that on the 25th Princess Charlene attended the Annual World Focus on Autism hosted by Autism Speaks in New York.

For the event, Charlene chose another Carolina Herrera outfit. This time a light blue sleeveless dress and coat made of stretch wool.

The ensemble is from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection (according to CH's spokespersn) but I couldn't find any slightly similar piece in the collection's looks or on sale.

Charlene wore grey python pumps by Manolo Blahnik and her pearl stud earrings. I think Charlene looked really good in this outfit, and I'm amazed it was so perfectly hemmed. In a set of pictures on Getty, Charlene can be seen on the 24th posing for photographs by Jonathan Becker wearing the same outfit with her pearl necklace and looking so very cute. You can check them out HERE (Thanks Christiane for the tip). Speaking of cuteness...

I know you wanted to see this photo again :).

Do you expect to see Princess Charlene in more Carolina Herrera creations?

Princess Charlene Wears Carolina Herrera to New York

As you may have heard, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene (as well as many others heads of state) traveled to New York to attend the Clinton Global Initiative, the UN meetings and, for Charlene, Autism Speaks.

For the first event, the Global Citizen Awards, the Princess of Monaco chose a Carolina Herrera pantsuit with a bejeweled blazer and a sleeveless tiered bow top.

The blazer is made of "Tiered silk with sequin detailing" and features a "contrast square neckline and wide shoulder straps with a bow detail at chest". It's currently available on Neiman Marcus and retails for $2,290. You can buy it from HERE.

I think this outfit works really well for Charlene as the tiers help conceal the bump, which seems to be Charlene's goal at this stage, yet look really stylish and fashionable.

Charlene's diamond stud earrings seem new to me, and I'm yet to identify the clutch (any suggestions would be appreciated).

On the second day, Albert and Charlene attended the opening plenary session "Reimagining Impact". Charlene opted for a Kimono-Sleeve Double-Face Dress in dark burgundy.

The Akris-looking frock has a V-neckline and oversized kimono sleeves. A black version is available on Neiman Marcus for $2,290. You can buy it from HERE.

Charlene paired it with brown tights and what seems to be suede Jimmy Choo pumps and a chocolate brown clutch.

On the 23rd, The Princely Couple attended a reception hosted by President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle.

Char donned another Carolina Herrera number. This time a satin ombre sleeveless midi sheath dress.

The dress features a boat neckline and princess seams. It's also available at Neiman Marcus for $2,290 (seems like Carolina Herrera's prices are fixed?), you can buy it from HERE.

Charlene teamed the dress with black patent pumps and most probably no jewelry. I like how the dress almost totally hides Charlene's maternity curves. I also love that she tried another designer for a change (I believe Charlene's pieces were custom made for her, but I'm yet to confirm that), the results are really successful, no?

Which look is your favorite?

Princess Charlene in Louis Vutton for the Evian Championship

Last week, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene Evian Championship village for the final round of The Evian Championship.

I don't know who designed Charlene's pants and top for the event! Akris said it's not theirs, but that doesn't necessarily mean they didn't make it, my guess is Dior anyway!

For the golf event, Charlene kept her outfit casual and cozy wearing those wide pants and V-neck top paired with Dior sunglasses and a new Louis Vuitton clutch.

For shoes, Charlene opted for the "Oxford Ballerinas" from Louis Vuitton. The shoes are made of calf leather and are "embellished with an LV initials accessory and sports an extremely supple rubber nub sole".

Charlene's exact same pair is now sold out, but a slightly-similar-colored version is now available online for £335. You can buy it from HERE.

This outfit is so expected yet very appropriate for the occasion and for Charlene's new body type, I hope New York will bring more exciting fashions from Charlene this week!

Princess Charlene in Akris for the Annual Picnic 2014

It’s not a maternity dress for Charlene at the Pique Nique this year in Monaco. The princess attended with Prince Albert and Elizabeth-Ann de Massy. You may remember that Char wore a version of the national costume last year, it was made by the Palace’s seamstresses.

This year, SAS la Princesse Charlene opted for a navy blue sleeveless dress from Akris. The dress is made of cotton popeline and features a self-belt with Ai buckle. Keeping it versatile, the collar of this frock is detachable. As stated above, this is a regular boutique dress, it wasn’t custom-made for Char!

Charlene paired her dress with Walter Steiger ballet flats, her engagement ring and the go-to pearl stud earrings which I think I’m very close to finally identifying them!

Do you think Charlene should switch to maternity clothes already?

Princess Charlene Jewelry-Pedia: Mark Gold Jewels

In July 2011, the new princess Charlene attended her wedding reception at the Oyster Box in Durban.

Open the photo in a new tab for the full-size.

For the occasion Charlene wore a custom Terrence gown (that we will discuss later) paired with a set of modern jewels.

The set was created especially by South African jeweler, Mark Gold.

The earrings are "made of Black Rhodium plated 18ct White Gold, black diamonds, purple amethyst and Briole cut black onyx".

The ring is made of black diamonds and an amethyst. The contemporary jewels were handmade and took about 3 weeks to manufacture.

This lovely set is now on display in Mark Gold's store in Durban. And though it was only a loan to the princess, it's not for sale.

I have to say I was a bit sad when I knew that Princess Charlene doesn't own these earrings and ring, especially, since the color of these amethysts really suits her, but then I thought that more people get to see these delightful jewels than we'll ever do with Charlene, No?

So tell me, what do you this of this Mark Gold jewelry?
