Bal de La Rose 2014: Princess Charlene Wears Akris

Russia might be the reason for many debates these days, but for Monaco, it's the theme of this year's Bal de La rose.

The usual set of the Gramildis attended the glamorous affair!

Princess Charlene chose a blue Akris wool and silk georgette gown from the Fall 2014 collection with S ribbons. Below we see it on the runway in "Cordoba grey"

she paired it with repeated black pumps and a black clutch.

Neutral makeup and a simple hairdo completed Charlene's look. I'm counting on you guys that you've noticed that she wore her Ocean earrings which are a part of the Ocean wedding gift made by Van Cleef and Arpels. I like this look minus the sheer part of the skirt, it's pretty confusing!

Princess Caroline wore a Chanel Spring 2014 Couture gown and coat (or robe?).

Having had a recent skiing accident, the Princess of Hanover opted for Chanel trainers and used a walking stick to help her walk.

Caroline's hair was styled in a soft wavy low updo and those earrings I know nothing about made another appearance and although they're not my favorite, I think they go very well with the outfit which is not my favorite, either.

Charlotte, too, opted for a Chanel frock from the same collection which was slightly altered from the runway model.

I don't like the balloonish part on the top of the gown but I absolutely love the wrap.

Miss Casiraghi kept everything else minimal with simple makeup and a tiny necklace.

Princess Charlene Features on Vanity Fair Italia

Charlene has given an exclusive interview to Vanity Fair Italia for the March issue. The feature included a new photoshoot in the private apartments of the princely couple in the Palais Princier de Monaco.

The feature in the magazine had the headline "Just the two of us" (according to my understanding and Google Translate's questionable sense of translation) and started with these two photos on opposite pages.

P.S: Pics had to be removed as they are not free of rights, so please follow the links and they'll direct you to the pics on Vanity Fair.

The princess wore a backless Dior dress that she's worn a couple of times earlier, most notably to attend the Soweto Gospel Choir concert in Monte Carlo last December. You might notice the ring on her right hand, I think it's the same ring she wore to the Boxing Bonanza and St. David's Day which is still unidentified.

Driu and Tiago did a great job with the photos in my opinion, and I absolutely adore those big glass windows!

The next photo featured a new satin colorblock dress also by Dior.

Above, Charlene wearing Current/Elliott top and jeans and doing the hipster princess pose. I'm not really sure about the fit of the jeans here (skinny?) so you can check them all out here.

The last pic in the feature is probably my favorite picture of Charlene of all times!

Beautiful, smiling broadly and wearing Lanvin, could we ask for more? (actually we could, a tiara!)

Charlene wore Lanvin Floral Lace Top Dress. The frock is available on Barneys.com for $2,270 and is described as:
Stretch cotton short sleeve dress with floral lace yoke and sleeves. Ribbed knit neckline, cuffs, and hem. 38" length. Made in Italy. Cotton/silk. Dry clean

You can buy this dress from here.

vanityfair.it published a part of the interview where Charlene talked about babies with the photos.

This photo was not included in the printed feature, so I don't know who made the dress, my guess is Dior, though.

As per usual Pablo Ardizzone did Charlene's makeup and Stephane Madinier did her  hair. I think Charlene was styled by Martine de Menthon but I'm not sure (the translation is rough and Google search didn't help much), I assume she owns the clothes since she's already worn the Dior number, I also hope to see more Lanvin on her.

Worn in Week: Princess Charlene's Wears Dior St. David's Gala, Plus the Louis Vuitton Show

Last week, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the St. David's day gala on the 1st of march at the Hotel De Paris in Montecarlo.

The gala that was hosted by the Monaco Wales Association headed by Mark Thomas, Prince Albert's close friend, raised 75,000 euros for Fondation Princesse Charlene. Last year, the gala's auction included a bid on a private swimming lesson with Princess Charlene, according to Monacolife.net, this year the bid was on a wine tasting and barbecue for eight people at the country home of the Prince and Princess (Roc Agel?) during the Monaco Grand Prix, Charlene was reported to have joked that the prince will do the cooking while she will need help with the washing up. More photos of the event HERE.

Dawn Boyle, the founder of the House of Thara presented the princess with two crystal bottles of perfume full with HOT's (House of Thara) two creations, Pink Gold and White Gold. Dawn who wore a Wolford cocktail dress told us that Charlene prefers Pink Gold because it's inspired from the East and tends to stay on clothes all night.
You can order your own Pink Gold and/or White Gold from HERE.

For the evening, Her Serene Highness donned a spectacular Christian Dior gown. Dior's PR seems to be pretty busy with the fashion week and the Oscars so the confirmation this time came from the Palace who did not confirm the designer of Charlene's jewelry!

You might remember the pattern of Charlene's bodice from the Dior pumps she wore to the MONAA gala last November.

From the photo with Dawn the dress appears to have a draped back, the whole frock reminds me of the other Dior number she wore to the 2012 Red Cross Ball even though this time's frock is clearly based on looks from the fall 2013 collection. I really like the draping on the skirt and the textured fabric.

Princess Charlene wearing Dior.

The earrings and the ring were both worn at the Monte Carlo Boxing Bonanza last month, I still don't know who the designer is but it's not Van Cleef and Arpels, Cartier, Montblanc, Tabbah or Lorenz Baumer. Any guesses? Let me know!

On the 5th of March, Charlene de Monaco attended the Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 fashion show in Paris where Nicolas Ghesquière showcased his first collection for the brand.

Charlene wore a huge black jacket, leather pants and pointed-toe pumps.

Good news 1: I love the makeup. Bad news 1: I hate everything else (except the bag). Good news 2: Louis Vuitton will show the resort collection in Monaco Next May!
