Princess Charlene's Fashion

Worn in Week: Princess Charlene Wears Dior to the Yacht Club!

Sorry for taking so long to post this, the Dior PR guys are kind of slow.

So last Friday, all the Grimaldi's (Except Stephanie) attended the inauguration of the new Monaco Yacht club.

I'm sure you've seen photos of all of them, Caroline was in Chanel, Charlotte in Gucci and Tatiana in Missoni.

This is a major event as the prestigious club was being built for many long years.  Charlene stepped wearing a white Dior dress with a sheer striped hem. Yes, the hem is striped and not frilled as some sites were saying!

Charlene accessorized her dress with a new python clutch also from Dior. Below we see the runway version of it from the Spring 2014 collection.

Charlene's bump was barely visible. I'm afraid she will wear tent dress like Victoria soon, though!

I believe Charlene's pumps are the Aurora nude patent leather pointy toe pumps shown below.

A pair of these costs $575 and you can buy it from HERE.

Char's makeup was not by Pablo Ardizzone and her hair was not by Stephane Madinier as usual. But I still find this new hairdo gorgeous and more feminine than any other hairdo the princess has done recently. The usual pearl earrings finished her look.

For more Char fun, check out the I Can See Charlene In board on Pinterest where I add pieces that I'd like to see on Charlene, these days, maternity all the way!

Queen Letizia Wears Felipe Varela for Proclaimation Ceremony!

Prince Felipe of Asturias was proclaimed king of Spain earlier today.

So on her first day as queen, Letizia turned to Felipe Varela for her ensemble. The  Felipe Varela Atelier creation consists of a crepe coat and dress with an embroidered neckline in summer degradé micro beads in ruby, amethyst crystals, amber and powder pink

This photo is huge, open it in a new tab to see the embroidery details.
Her majesty accessorized the outfit with a sand-colored Felipe Varela clutch and peep-toe pumps by Magrit.

Leti kept the jewelry to a minimum and wore her go-to diamond star earrings only.

The cute dresses of Princess Leonore, the new Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia were made by Teresa Fernández Castro and Nieves García Torres.

Do you expect Letizia to activate her glamorous side as a queen?

Worn in Week: Princess Charlene Wears Akris for her First Appearance after Pregnancy Announcement!

Last Saturday, Prince Albert, Princess Charlene and Princess Caroline attended the reopening of the Princess Grace Rose Garden. The garden that was created in 1984 had been closed for 9 months for a makeover as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

After cancelling a handful of engagements, most notably the visit to the Netherlands, Princess Charlene made an appearance as a new rose was named after her.

For the occasion the princess repeated an Akris dress, many of you, eagle-eyed followers immediately recalled that Charlene has worn it last July for the first autism conference.

The dress is officially described as a "sleeveless short coat dress with front pleats". and it comes from the Spring 2013 collection, you can see the runway version below in yellow.

I found this dress to be very reminiscent of the coat dress Char wore to the Fete Nationale in 2012, also by Akris.

One could barely notice the bump with those pleats. Brilliant choice, me thinks.

Charlene topped her dress with an Akris "sand silk faille trench coat with back pleat" that she has also worn before.

Her Serene Highness finished her look with soft makeup (that didn't exactly hide how tired she looked) and her go-to pearl stud earrings.

Do you like this look as much as I do?

Style Speculation: Rami Kadi's Royal Summer Collection

Many of us wonder what Middle Eastern princesses wear. Especially, since we know almost nothing about most of them, not even their names!
Let's take a look at a designer's collection that has possibly graced some royal wardrobes.

Rami Kadi is a Lebanese designer who has been on fire since he opened his first flagship store in 2011. Dressing many Arab celebrities, Rami has made his way to royal houses and proudly has many royal clients who adore his work. Rami's Le Royaume Enchanté collection was released last April which makes this review ridiculously late it possible that some royals have already worn the pieces Today I'm joining forces with Jeffrey Felner, fashion expert and editor at for a quick review of our favorite and least favorite pieces from the collection. You can check the whole collection HERE.

Jeffrey and I differed when it came to our favorite pieces, I loved the lace tiers in the strapless, deep pink gown (First photo) while he liked the silk gazar and tulle gown in pistachio green (shown above).

I also loved this silk crepe dress with lace details. It's really delicate and feminine while the train gives it the needed grandness and glamor.

Of the collection, Mr Felner said that Rami showed "from chic to show girls and from conservative to ultra sexy. The influence is a lot of french and some Bob Mackie thrown in for the more theatrical looks."

For cocktail dresses, Jeffrey picked the lace and silk organza dress below as his favorite.

Differing again, I picked this gold brocard dress

While we didn't exactly like the huge skirted gowns that Jeffrey thought were influenced by Charles James, they weren't our least favorite part.

Jeffery and I agreed that this cropped lace top with plastic printed skirt should get a NO! Although I like the print on the skirt, bare midriff for a cocktail party doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

We also agreed that the party dress above looks rather like a swimsuit from the 40's, A fabulous swimsuit, though!

All in all, I think Rami could achieve a balance between feminine and sexy, and the colours came summery and pleasant. I also think that it won't take long before Rami's romantic approach to fashion leads European royalty to him!

Who do you see in a Rami Kadi creation?
