Princess Charlene Wears Ralph Lauren to the Princess Grace Awards 2017

Last night Prince Albert and Princess made their much-anticipated appearance in Beverly Hills. Sex and the City star, Kristin Davis was the ceremony presenter and she looked graceful in a J Mendel dress.

The Princess of Monaco, however, chose a dress that happened to have her name from Ralph Lauren.

The "burgundy" (I would call it grape-colored) column gown is made of silk georgette covered completely in laser-cut sequins. The dress comes from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection. However, the way Charlene (the dress) looks on Charlene (the princess) is completely different than it looks on the model. Thanks to the Princess's shoulders!

I don't know if Ralph named the dress Charlene after the princess or not. But the off the shoulder neckline is VERY reminiscent of Charlene's Armani wedding gown, so who knows!

The dress retails for $10,000 but has been sold out online after the Princess wore it last night. You can keep an eye on it if it comes back in stock HERE.

Keeping everything else, Her Serene Highness paired the dress with the Celia suede pumps in bordeaux from Ralph Lauren, too. The shoes retail for $625 and you can buy them from HERE. Cartier stud diamond earrings provided the finishing touch.

While I'm very glad that Charlene went for Ralph Lauren in such a flattering silhouette and colour, I'm not so keen on the dramatic eye makeup. Kudos for trying something new yet another time, though!

Princess Charlene in Ralph Lauren for a Paramount Party

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene are now in the United States where they will be attending the Princess Grace Awards this year. Last year the awards were held in New York, this year the ceremony will take place in Beverly Hills.

For a pre-party at the Paramount Studios today, the princess of Monaco posed with actress, Sofia Milos.

For the event, Charlene chose Blaine Glen Plaid Bustier from Ralph Lauren Collection. The bustier is inspired by menswear and features pocket flaps on the side. It's available on the Ralph Lauren website for $1,990 and you can buy it from HERE.
I believe the pants Charlene paired the bustier with are the Eleanora Stretch Leather Pant from Ralph Lauren Collection, too. They are made of lambskin and are bonded rather than stitched. They also feature side zippers. I will confirm if it's them when better photos are available. But meanwhile the pants are also $1,990 and you can buy them from HERE.

Adding the final touch, Princess Charlene wore a Juste un Clou bracelet in white gold and diamond. I was wondering when she was going to embrace my favorite "casual" collection from Cartier!

Casual as it may seem, the sparkler is set with 374 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 2.26 carats and retails for a whopping $46,700. You can also buy it on the Cartier website.

Dior's sponsorship deal with the Princess Grace Foundation expired last year, so it's rather unknown if Charlene will wear one of their designs this year or if she will venture out to another designer... Maybe Ralph again?

Who do you think she will wear this year?

Buy Princess Charlene's Dress for ONLY $90!

in 2012, Princess Charlene attended the Amber Lounge for last time (heaven knows why she hasn't been again!).

Princess Charlene's Akris dress for 90 dollars!

Princess Charlene wore half of the Akris Spring/Summer 2012 collection, she attended the show in Paris with her mum shortly after her wedding, and the collection itself was inspired by Monte Carlo.

Princess Charlene's Akris dress for 90 dollars!

The dress was shown on the runway in forest green but Charlene had it made for her in orangey brown, why? Don't ask me! The dress is now on sale on the The Real Real for $87, this is less than 10% of its original retail value. Quite a steal, no?

Akris Knit Pleated Dress

I honestly much rather the runway version to Charlene's, that green is very cheerful. An important thing when the dress is loose-fitted, don't you think? You can buy the dress from HERE.

This dress was one of many Roland Mouret creations the Princesse de Monaco has worn in the past two years and one of my favorite on her (mainly because of the bright, summery colour)

Princess Charlene's Preen Dress Now on Sale!

Last summer (can you believe summer is already over), Princess Charlene joined by Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques appeared on the Princely Palace's balcony to watch the annual St. John procession. Charlene's floral dress was a mystery until it was ID's by HeavensLM as Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, a brand that -to our knowledge- the Princess of Monaco had not worn before.

Princess Charlene gave access to Paris Match to photograph her and the twins inside the palace which gave us an extraordinary view into their lives (and a better look at the dress)

The Aurora dress was a part of a special Capsule collection that Thornton Bregazzi designed especially for Net-A-Porter and was long sold out by the time Charlene had worn it.

Shop Princess Caroline's Chanel Dress

2009 was the last year Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie joined Prince Albert at the annual Arbre de Noel for Monegasque children at the Princely Palace without Princess Charlene. Right after the engagement in 2010, Princess Charlene has participated in the event every year except for 2014 as she had given birth to the twins only 6 days before the event.

True to form, Princess Caroline of Hanover donned a Chanel dress from the pre-fall 2009 collection

Although grey and black, the dress is anything but subtle and somehow almost as Christmassy and Prince Albert's tie.

The dress has resurfaced on Ebay. This time new with tags and up for grabs for US$2,800. The dress's original price is thought to be around $5,000. You can buy the frock from HERE.

If you had this dress, where would you wear it?

Vogue Arabia Unites Queen Nazli's Great Granddaughter with the Most Famous Necklace in the world!

In the October 2017 issue, Vogue Arabia has a very unique and moving feature. Amina El Demirdash, one of Egypt's brightest artists and the granddaughter of Princess Faika graced the pages of Vogue in a black peplum Elie Saab jumpsuit and, most importantly, Queen Nazli's Van Cleef and Arpels necklace.

Queen Nazli's grand daughter wears Van Cleef and Arpels necklace.

Amina was photographed by Julian Torres -who has photographed many celebrities including Catherine Deneuve- at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris. The necklace is now a part of Van Cleef and Arpels' estate collection along with several other pieces from the Egyptian royal family. The feature included a tribute by Amina to her ancestors, especially her great-aunt Princess Fawzia who passed away in 2013. In fact, Fawzia's wedding was the reason her mother Queen Nazli commissioned this necklace along with its matching tiara.

The necklace was sold in the renowned Sotheby's sale of Queen Nazli's jewelry in New York to an unknown buyer after she had gone bankrupt. The necklace resurfaced in 2015 after almost four decades in the dark at yet another Sotheby auction. The much-publicised auction saw the necklace being sold for 4,282,000 USD. Luckily the buyer was Van Cleef and Arpels which has featured the magnificent work of art in several exhibitions since acquiring it.

The necklace compromises of around 600 diamonds weighing almost 300 carats. The last known time Queen Nazli wore this parure was to her youngest daughter's, Fathia, wedding in April 1950. Ironically, this wedding would eventually lead to Queen Nazli's bankruptcy within two decades. The tiara has not been seen ever since the 1975 sale and whether it is still intact is unknown.

El Demirdash admitted that the life of her family before the revolution was "something of a jigsaw puzzle". Her grandmother, Princess Faika married Fuad Sadek who upon their marriage received the title Bey (Equivalent to Earl in England) in a small ceremony at Abdeen Palace in 1950. Over 65 years later, Amina herself got married in a more lavish ceremony in Italy.

Amina, despite being at the heart of the art scene in Egypt, has rarely ever mentioned being a descendant of the former royal family. Her aristocratic beauty and serenity do serve as a reminder of the family that captivated the attention of the world with its members' legendary beauty. Her artistic gift echoes her great uncle's wife's (Queen Farida) talent as a painter and Farida's uncle the world-renowned Mahmoud Sa'id whose paintings have always captured her eyes. In one of the pictures of the feature, Amina wears Queen Nazli's necklace with a simple Mugler dress and an Alexandre Vauthier blazer. A way that her great-grandmother would have never imagined her necklace to be worn. Breathing youthfulness into an almost century-old necklace while breathing in the legacy of a family that will not be forgotten anytime soon!

Steal Princess Charlene's Style: Dior Coat to Meet the Pope

In January 2013, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene traveled to the Vatican for an audience with Pope Benedict XVI. For her first meeting with a pope, Charlene was the first Monegasque Princess to be granted the Privilège du Blanc; the privilege to wear white when meeting the pope.

Princess Charlene's Dior cream lace and knitwear coat has recently resurfaced on Ebay and is offered for US $808.89.

The coat is made cotton, polyester, and viscose with a round neck and a belt and you can buy it from HERE.

This coat was the highlight of a look that saw a milestone in Charlene's tenure as the princess consort of Monaco and I love the idea that while Charlene's is probably hidden at the back of her closet, someone will pull off this look for a different milestone in their life!
