Princess Charlene Wears Akris for the 2018 Fete Nationale Gala

After an "interesting" look for the morning events for the National Day in Monaco, Princess Charlene has chosen to wow everyone with a bicolor gown.

The Princess donned a Black and White silk marocain crepe colour-block gown designed for her by Albert Kriemler for Akris.

The dress features a knee-high slit that showed off the Princess's Jimmy Choo patent pumps.

Unlike the past years, the Princess chose not to wear a coat or gloves. The gown is long-sleeved and is not backless like the past year's, so I suppose Charlene was warm enough in it... instead, she was on FIRE 😍!

The gown also allows for a perfect placement of the order of St. Charles sash and medal. Charlene also wore new earrings by Repossi.

The retro hairstyle trend Princess Charlene has been sporting lately continued and she finished off her look with glamorous makeup and a red lip.

For me, this look is a total winner. Earlier today, I asked for an outfit that's "not black" and my wish has been half granted. I was secretly afraid the off-white gown and knit coat thing that has been going on for the past few years would continue, so I'm glad that Charlene chose to surprise us while staying true to herself. She might have been out-coloured by Princess Caroline, but she looks every inch the Princess of Monaco she is and the jewelry is just fabulous.

N.B: Princess Caroline was wearing a Stella McCartney cape-effect gown with Louboutin sandals. Her dress which was also worn by Queen Letizia is available on The OutNet for £ 967.

Princess Charlene in Akris for the Fete Nationale in Monaco

The National Day celebrations took place in Monaco today at the Palais Princier and the Cathedrale Notre-Dame-Immaculée. As usual, the whole Grimaldi clan (minus Charlotte Casiraghi who has given birth recently) was there in full force. Not as usual, the whole Wittstock clan (minus Mrs. Lynette) was also there in full force.

What Did Princess Charlene Wear?

For the event, the Princess donned a Black wool crepe drop waist dress and an embroidered black and camel stand collar jacket by Akris. The custom-made ensemble was designed by Albert Kriemler for the occasion.

Princess Charlene paired the two-piece frock with Akris suede gloves and a wide-brimmed black felt hat by Gallia e Peter for Akris. The clutch the Princess held is a Giorgio Armani that she's had for years. It reappeared in Paris last week.

La Princesse de Monaco finished off her look with her Dior Tribale earrings (also worn by Pauline Ducruet today) and Givenchy knee-high leather and suede boots. These gorgeous boots are currently 40% off for $1,287 on Farfetch.

Outfit Recap
Dress and jacket: Custom Akris
Gloves: Akris
Hat: Gallia e Peter for Akris

Clutch: Giorgio Armani
Boots: Givenchy
Earrings: Dior

What do I think of this outfit?

I really like the drop waist of the dress and I'm glad to see Her Serene Highness in a larger hat, but these two don't save the outfit for me. There's no doubt it's elegant, but the jacket and its fit really age Charlene. The sleeves of the dress showing under the jacket's sleeves are bothering me a lot since this outfit was designed especially for her!

What makes me more disappointed is that there were other looks from the Akris Fall 2018 that would have made a killer base for an outfit for such an occasion.

My best dressed for the day you ask? A tie!

Beatrice Borromeo/Casiraghi and Princess Stephanie

My hopes for tonight? Anything not black!

Princess Charlene Wears Givenchy in Paris

Photos have been all over the internet and the press has been raving for quite a few days now. The reason is simply that Princess Charlene has looked phenomenal in her last appearance in Paris. I waited because I thought she would attend Prince Charles's birthday and we'd get two amazing appearances, but Prince Albert has attended the birthday dinner solo.

In Paris however, the couple were all smiles together as they Mr. and Mrs. Macron at the Elysee. The Princess later joined Mrs. Marcon at Versailles Palace for lunch with other spouses including Melania Trump (who looked amazing in Dior).

What Did Princess Charlene Wear?

Oversized bow top

Houndstooth one-button wool coat

High waisted wide leg wool trousers

Suede ankle boots (in black)
Mini 'Antigona' tote

What Do I Think of This Outfit?

If you've been following this blog for a while, you would know that I prefer HSH in colour, but this time I'm all for the black and grey. On a day when the whole world remembers soldiers that gave up their lives, fashion should take the backseat. The occasion calls for a sombre look, but a princess among a group of first ladies (and first gentlemen) should also dress for her rank. This look delivers on both ends. The black and grey are subdued enough while the gigantic bow and red lipstick give the flair the Princess of Monaco should have at such a gathering. We've seen a similar retro hairstyle recently at the Princess Grace Awards. Perhaps the good reviews from everyone are the reason why the Princess opted for it again this time. The makeup is perfection!

This is the first time Princess Charlene wears Givenchy, a brand that I've been hoping for her to wear for years... maybe dreams come true after all! The House of Givenchy was deeply connected to the Grimaldis at a point in time. We'll look deeper into the relationship the Maison had with Princess Grace at a later time. But for now, do you love this look as much as I do?

Princess Charlene Wears Oscar de la Renta to the Monte-Carlo Gala For The Global Ocean 2018

The Monte-Carlo Gala For The Global Ocean 2018 is happening right now at the Opera Garnier in Monaco with Prince Albert and Princess Charlene in attendance. The inaugural ball took place last year and since then the gala has been one of the most important events in Monaco. Last year, Leonardo Dicaprio was the star of the show, this year it's Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

For the occasion, Princess Charlene of Monaco chose Oscar de la Renta. The gorgeous navy caftan dress features an illusion shoulder with sparkling silver sequins and a caped back. I can't wait for videos to see this gown flowing.

The gown is currently available on the ODLR website for $3,690.

The embroidery on this gown takes it from an ordinary cape dress to an amazing frock. and I think the illusion shoulder highlights Princess Charlene's shoulders in the most feminine way. Char rarely ever wears dresses that are not form fitting, and as amazing her body looks in them, I'm glad she's trying something new, and boy, did she knock out of the park this time!

For the accessories, Charlene stuck to her master plan of one big gun, is this case, it's a gigantic Graff Diamonds cuff. I'm in love!

I'll update this post with close-ups and videos once they become available. But so far, the makeup looks simple with a pink lip and the hair swept up.

Princess Charlene Wears Atelier Versace to the 2018 Red Cross Gala

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene are at the 70th Red Cross Ball right now, probably dancing the night away. We looked at Princess Charlene's possible looks yesterday and we agreed that Atelier Versace was a strong possibility,  BUT I never expected THIS!

This gown is just beyond. After last year's uber-modern, alien-chic look, I didn't expect this out-of-this-world creation! The Princess of Monaco looks phenomenal in a "fully beaded Atelier Versace gown with a degrade scale Swarovski motif in the tones of blue, gold and crystal."

Charlene wore blue silk satin sandals and a silver clutch, both also by Versace.

While the color is somewhat similar to last years, the entire look has a completely different feel. Charlene worked with a lot of designers and she often seemed to be wearing the same thing even when she wasn't. This has never been the case with Versace, each piece they created for her looks distinctly different from the other. This is not just a matter of the frocks being couture, but also a matter of Donatella and her team being geniuses.

Just look at how statuesque she looks, I can't wait for videos to see all these fish scale details flowing 😍

As you can see in previous pics, the Repossi engagement ring made an appearance, and Her Serene Highness paired it with a wrap-around bracelet and a diamond earcuff, by Repossi too, I believe... but still waiting for a confirmation...

This hair length is perfection and the new do is just what the dress needed. Usually, Charlene plays with her eyeshadow and this time was no exception, I love how the blue and the silver blend in to match the dress.

Do you love this look as much as I do?

Note 1: Thanks to the Versace PR team for the very fast confirmation and full details of this masterpiece!
Note 2: Will update the post with videos and confirmation from Repossi as I get them.

7 Breathtaking Gowns I Want Princess Charlene to Wear to the Red Cross Ball

The 70th Red Cross Ball is tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. Now that the Princess stopped going to the Bal de la Rose, this is the most glamorous event on her calendar. We did two throwbacks on Instagram, you can view them HERE and HERE. But this did not satisfy my cravings for neither gowns nor jewelry. So I roamed the best online retailers and found the most perfect dresses for Her
Serene Highness.
Warning: Dresses get more $$$$ as you scroll down!

1. Oscar De La Renta One-Shoulder Draped Gown

The pink gown is a dream, it's glamorous and sexy and really suits Princess Charlene's style. Not only would the one shoulder neckline look amazing on her figure, but also it sets the stage for some major jewelry. The bow on the shoulder is just the cherry on top.

Price: $3,947 (50% off)
Where: Farfetch

2. Oscar De La Renta Strapless Scoop Neck Gown

This gown gives me some very serious Vivienne Westwood vibes, A label I would very much like to see on Charlene. The frock is very minimalistic.... which is perfect to take the Infinite Cascade necklace for an outing 7 years after the first (and last) time we saw it. #BringTheNecklaceBack.

We all know the Princess of Monaco loves her metallic gowns, I think this D&G would be no exception. It's quite similar to the Ralph Lauren Collection she wore last year to the Princess Grace Awards, but it has certain qualities that make it unique.  Although I'd be really happy if she wore this frock, In all honesty, I'm more excited about D&G as a designer for Charlene than I am for the dress as it's a bit too similar to last year's Versace number.

Price: $6,495

4. Carolina Herrera Off-Shoulder Bow Dress

As expected from Carolina, this is the perfect combo between glam and comfort. This dress is a show stopper by all means. the pockets make it cozy, and the A-line silhouette makes walking a breeze. Infinite Cascade for this one, too?

Price: $5,290
Where: Farfetch

5. Marchesa Beaded Tulle Metallic Gown

Okay, I know she wouldn't wear this, but then again, wouldn't she? She's taken so many fashion risks over the years that I think this could just be possible... Some simple Cartier earrings and she's READY. TO. SLAY!

Price: $8,995

6. Naeem Khan Embellished Tulle Gown

One of those gowns that speak for themselves and yourself. It's SUPER sexy without having to show too much skin... I wouldn't even ask for too much jewelry with it... you know, just a casual tiara...
Price: $10,995
Where: Net-A-Porter

7. Atelier Versace

Will Donatella work her charms this year, too? I sure think so. The gown above may not be the one Charlene ends up wearing, but whatever Atelier Versace designs for Charlene, We'll love it, k?

Price: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Where: They'll come to you, fly in for fittings, dress comes with a magic wand that makes it fit like a glove!

Princess Charlene Recycles Louis Vuitton Coat to Visit the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg

Princess Charlene is in Johannesburg. A few days ago, she attended the 16th Nelson Mandela lecture and meeting with Obama.

Yesterday, the Princess visited the Nelson Mandela Foundation headquarters to attend a presentation on the Foundation's projects and to deliver a speech. The Princess Also met with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Richard Branson.

The Princess gifted Desmond Tutu with a photo of the twins, and she could be seen exchanging a joke with him about it.

Before we talk about the clothes, let me remind you that it's currently winter in South Africa. Okay? Now, the Princess wore a Louis Vuitton coat that she first wore in London in 2016 to meet with Sir Tim Laurence and to visit Westminister Abbey.

With the PreFall 2016 coat, the Princess repeated a pair of Christian Dior Black Glazed Leather and Kidskin Pumps, from 2013 this time. Charlene has this style is several colours and she has shown her love for them all over the years. Char probably realized that she needed to make up for it being a repeat and brought one of her big gun pearl earrings. I believe this is the Graff Diamonds pair she wore to the Grand Prix in 2016.

I've been in love with this coat since I first saw it, so I'm glad it got another outing, 'tis a $5,000 coat after all. Charlene has been repeating a lot lately, though..... I wonder why 🤔🤔🤔

Do you like this coat?
